Scuba Diving at Havelock (Nemo Reef)

Scuba diving is diving underwater with the help of an underwater breathing apparatus (scuba), which is completely independent of surface supply, to breathe underwater. This activity is conducted under the supervision of a professional certified Divemaster who accompanies every participant independently.

What you can get to Experience

As a participant in the Introductory Scuba Diving program, you will get to dive underwater in the coral reefs of Havelock with your Divemaster. You will be required to wear a diving suit and all other equipment will be provided to you. The program includes onshore training on safety and underwater communication techniques.

While you dive underwater our photographer will take your underwater photographs and small video clips for you to share on social media. The photographs and video clips will be instantly transferred to your smartphone.

Duration of this activity

The total duration of the activity is 55 minutes which involves underwater diving for approximately 30 to 40 minutes and 20 mins for training sessions. Where you will learn under water signs to communicate.

How you can reach Nemo Reef Dive site

You can hire a cab or auto-rickshaw to reach Nemo reef. Our dive centers are located opposite the helipad in Havelock.

Gathering Point

You can produce a printout of the voucher or a mobile phone voucher to our counter in Havelock.

 

Is swimming mandatory for Scuba Diving?

No, it is not. Even if you know swimming, you should not try to swim on your own while diving. Every participant is accompanied by a Dive Master who will hold you with your tank throughout the dive.

Is scuba diving safe?

It is a very safe activity as all our divers are professionally trained and certified by PADI (Australia) and SSI.

Age Limitations for this activity

From age group 12 to 50 years any one can do this activity (With NO ILLNESS).

Any Medical restrictions

You need to fill out a medical declaration form declaring that you are medically fit to undergo Scuba Diving. Pregnant ladies, Open Heart Surgeries, Asthma, persons who are taking frequent medicines are not permitted to dive.
